License

Licensor grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Calcumber Web App free of charge for personal, educational, non-commercial, or light commercial purposes.

“Light commercial use” includes internal use within a company, or use by professionals for their own calculations. It does not include redistribution, resale, embedding in other software, or offering Calcumber as a paid service.

By accessing or using the Calcumber Web App, the User agrees to the following terms:

1. Grant of License

Licensor grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Calcumber Web App free of charge for personal, educational, non-commercial or commercial purposes.

2. Restrictions

  • The Software may not be redistributed, embedded in other websites, or offered as part of another service without prior written permission from the Licensor.

  • Users may not modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the Software.

  • Commercial use beyond casual internal use (e.g., integrating into tools or services) requires separate licensing.

3. Ownership

The Software is the intellectual property of MFis GmbH. All rights not explicitly granted are reserved.

4. Limitation of Liability

The Software is provided "as is", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied.

In no event shall MFis GmbH be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software — including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profit — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

5. Termination

This license is automatically terminated if any part of this Agreement is violated.

Upon termination, the User must immediately stop using the Software and delete any saved data or derivative works related to it.

6. Future Monetization

Calcumber is intended to remain freely accessible, supported by moderate, non-intrusive advertisements.

The Software may integrate with third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense. These providers may use cookies or similar technologies to collect and process personal data for the purpose of delivering personalized ads, in compliance with applicable laws.

Users will be informed and given a choice through a consent dialog before any such data collection occurs.

MFis GmbH does not collect or store personally identifiable data unless explicitly authorized by the user.

Ads will be selected to remain relevant and non-disruptive. MFis GmbH reserves the right to offer optional premium features or an ad-free experience in the future.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Swiss courts.

Calcumber Web App and Windows App

Calcumber does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or usage data. All calculations are performed locally on your device. No information is sent to external servers.

When using Calcumber’s sharing feature, the generated link includes the calculation input you provided. If you choose to share this link with others, be aware that your input will be visible to anyone who opens the link.

When someone opens a shared link, the calculation is processed entirely in their browser using the Calcumber Web App. The input is never transmitted to the Calcumber server or stored remotely.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent
